21+ Come out and for food and wine pairings at the Tahoe City Food and Wine Classic. As one of the most beloved North Lake Tahoe events, we’re busy compiling this year’s list of acclaimed Tahoe restaurants and caterers. The participating business will be offering hand-selected wines and delectable bites to be enjoyed while strolling along Lake Tahoe’s scenic Tahoe City walkway. All tickets include access to the June 6 Wine Walk and the “Grab Your Glass” pre-party on June 5 at Boatworks Mall, where guests can pick up their glass early, enjoy live music, and skip event-day lines. Big Blue Adventure Olympic Valley Half Marathon 8-Miler and 5K

The Olympic Valley Half Marathon and 8 Miler start and finish at the iconic Village At Palisades Tahoe, site of the historic 1960 Winter Olympics. The course is fast and flat, a scenic out and back featuring mainly paved trail through the valley and along the Truckee River. During the route keep an eye out for bald eagles, mule deer and trout leaping out of the river all while enjoying the cool, refreshing sierra air. You will be supported by plenty of aid stations along the course which will have water, electrolyte beverage and a variety of fruit and snacks. Concerts at Commons Beach

Concerts at Commons Beach offer free, live Sunday afternoon music (typically 4–7 PM) from June through September, featuring an eclectic mix of blues rock funk bluegrass and reggae. Set against Lake Tahoe, this is a family-friendly, high-energy event with local food, beer, and views.  Genre Variety: The lineup brings diverse musical acts, including funk and R&B (Cool Cool Cool), Americana/roots (Dead Winter Carpenters), and high-octane bluegrass (Poor Man’s Whiskey). Classic Car Stroll

Tahoe City Classic Car Stroll is presented by the Kiwanis Club of North Lake Tahoe. The Tahoe City Public Utility’s Parks and Recreation Department, the Tahoe City Downtown Association and North Lake Auto Parts will be sponsoring the nineteenth annual TAHOE CITY CLASSIC CAR STROLL. Persons interested in exhibiting their classic and vintage automobiles are encouraged to register for this event, which is free for spectators. Past events have featured muscle cars, hot rods, antiques, sports cars and other classics built prior to 1972. This year they are allowing some exceptions to the 1972 date. Parking along the north side of North Lake Blvd in Tahoe City will be set aside for these vehicles. North Lake Auto Parts will be awarding prizes in various categories. ...

Big Blue Adventure Big Chief 50K Ultra Trail Run


Location 1960 Olympic Valley Road Olympic Valley, CA 96146 Time Starts: 6:00 am ‐ Ends: 4:40 pm
The Big Chief 50K trail race is a loop course on a mix of single track and fire roads  between Lake Tahoe and Truckee. Run through mighty trees, take in breathtaking views and conquer rocky summits. The course travels between 6000 – 7500 feet of elevation. The race starts and finishes in the Village at Northstar Resort in Truckee, CA. Runners will be supported by 5 aid stations with water, Electrolyte beverage, fruit and snacks. The finish rewards include cold beverages, beer, snacks, and a medal. All participants will receive a technical race shirt. The cut off time for official finishers is 8.5 hours but we do our best to accommodate everyone that wants to finish. Medical support will be provided on course and at the finish. The race takes place the day after the Tahoe Trail 100K Mountain Bike Race and follows roughly the same course with a few adjustments.
