As long-time locals (thirty plus years), we are always available to assist with your stay, ensuring a seamless and memorable Tahoe experience from booking to check-out. Whether you're here for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, we’re committed to making your time in Tahoe truly special.

REQUIRED COUNTY STR PERMIT INFORMATION: STR 22-6658 | TOT #624258 | Max Occupancy is 3 | 1 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times. Guest must agree to read and comply with Placer County's Good Neighbor Policies.

County Rules
As part of the Short-Term Rental Permit for this home, the county asks that we share the important rules and regulations with you. We appreciate your cooperation in following the guidelines listed below, also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.

Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.

Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week. Per the County: No sound may be audible from the property line during quiet hours. Amplified sound (such as speakers) shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time.

Lights Out: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors at night.

Red Flag Warnings: Due to high risk of wildfire in our area, bonfires, charcoal barbecues, and wood-burning fire pits are always prohibited. On designated Red Flag Warning Days—when fire danger is especially severe due to dry conditions and high winds—all outdoor fires are prohibited, including gas grills and gas fire pits. These restrictions come directly from the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and must be followed for everyone’s safety. It is each guest’s responsibility to stay informed about Red Flag Warnings. They are announced on local news, radio, and social media, and you’ll also see signs posted at fire stations throughout the area.

Winter Driving: Many highways, access roads, and driveways in the Tahoe area can become icy during the winter. For your safety, it’s essential that between November 1st and April 30th your vehicle is winter-ready. Make sure brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater, and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires should be properly inflated with excellent tread, and you should always carry tire chains—even if you have an AWD/4WD vehicle. Double-check that your chains fit your tires and are in good working order. On many state highways and county roads, four-wheel drive and snow tires are required for safe travel.
Please be prepared for winter conditions: dress appropriately, stay in bounds at ski resorts and if you get lost, remain in place.

Garbage & Bears: Please do not feed the bears. Black bears are very common in this area and, over time, many have become used to human food and trash. Because they no longer have a natural fear of people, you may see them during your spring, summer, or fall stay. Feeding bears is illegal, and leaving food outside, trash unsecured, or doors and windows unlocked can lead to serious property damage to both homes and vehicles. To help prevent this, all waste must be placed in bear-proof bins or dumpsters and the latches secured. Placer County sorts recycling from the waste for you at our materials recovery facilities.

Office Holiday Hours
The TTVR office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.

Summer Tahoe Weekend
Pine Cove Cabin #2 is a hidden little gem of a place on the shores of Tahoe Vista. The cabin itself his a rustic, old-school vibe yet is well maintained and has all the necessary amenities. What makes this place truly special is the location. The cabin itself has just a small peekaboo view of the lake through a window by a nice alcove/sitting area - but it is literally steps away from Moon Dune beach and there is a private dock that stretches far into the lake which is where we spent most of our time. There is also shared patio space with two nice loungers and a table/chairs. We appreciated Pine Cove being dog-friendly and loved having our labradoodle with us. Communication with the Tahoe Time team was seamless. It was a perfect spot for my husband and I to enjoy a summer Tahoe weekend.

Absolutely Recommend
We had the best mini-moon stay here after our wedding. It was exactly the relaxing retreat we needed. Our dogs absolutely loved it too! The shared deck and beachfront were perfect; we spent so much time just sitting by the lake enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. We happened to be the only ones there during our stay, which was amazing, but even if others had been around, the setup felt welcoming and like it would've been fun to meet fellow travelers. The proximity to Kings Beach was also a huge plus. Overall, such a cozy, beautiful, and relaxing Tahoe getaway that we'd absolutely recommend.

Perfect little spot and great location
We stayed for Thanksgiving. You walk out the door and the Lake is right there. Absolutely breathtaking. Safeway is a one minute drive away, Northstar is a 10-15 minute drive away. It was great. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfy, and the kitchen was stocked for our Thanksgiving cooking needs.

Fantastic!!
The quaintness of this little enclave of cottages, cleanliness and close proximity to Lake Tahoe was fantastic! We tried to extend our stay because we were having such a great experience, but this cute little home was already booked for the same day we were scheduled to check out. We are hoping that it is available again next July because we would like to come back for a longer stay. We are very happy and satisfied with the experience and want to come back:) Thank you to the owners and management company for such a great experience!

Nice and Cozy cabin
Cabin is nice and clean. It has a shared deck and very accessible to the lake. Great communications. It is old cabin need some updating. Bathroom is small but no issues with us since it was only two of us and our pet. Shower is small for my 6'4 husband. Love the courtyard our pet has a place to run around. The place is close to everything, grocery store and restaurant.Overall, if we have to go back to Lake Tahoe we will definitely stay in this place again.

Cute, but needs improvement
The location was great, the staff was very friendly, and the spaces are very cute. We were the only occupied unit, but we could see into the others as the blinds were open. It's got a sweet little courtyard and a small private beach and dock- we loved this. Interior, There were a few upgrades and small repairs that could make this even better.  None of this ruined our stay, just slightly inconvenienced us at times and made the stay feel more like a rustic cabin stay then a short term home rental. I would still recommend this rental to others.

Fall Paradise
Lovely 1 bedroom cottage just short steps to lakefront. Fully equipped, clean, cozy and view of the lake. Lovely deck with patio furniture and easy access to beach with boat dock, which is pleasant to sit on and enjoy the sunrise. Conviently located to great hikes, restaurants and Safeway. Barbaqued a lovely steak dinner on the propane grill conveniently located just off our porch. Would definitely stay here again.

Hit the spot!
This place is/was such a gem - right on the lake in a chill little complex with the beach + deck & pier, just steps from the front door. It's just a cozy vibe with everything you need, and nothing you don't! It's not well marked (part of why it's a hidden gem;)) so definitely map it & consolidate into 1 car - parking is limited. Would stay here again!

Highly recommend
We've stayed at Pine Cove Cottages for many years, although this was the first time at #2. A very nice place to stay, and you can't beat the location, right on the lake with a private dock. Highly recommended!

Charming Tahoe Cottage
Great location - almost on the lake! Very quiet during stay which was perfect & the weather was too. Very clean & charming interior but built-in couch hard to sit on for long unless on the extra cushions. Suggest it get 'repadded'. The extra comfy queen bed made up for the hard couch.  Suggest 1 medium size saucepan with lid in kit. as there weren't any (or bring your own). Definitely worth a return visit!
