his cabin was a perfect getaway for our group of nine—spacious, clean, and stocked with all the essentials. Tucked away in the woods, it offered a peaceful retreat without being too far from town. We really appreciated being removed from the busier, more commercial areas—it made for a much more relaxing experience, surrounded by the sounds of nature.

El Dorado County | VHR 073004 | TOT #0496 | Max Occupancy is 8 - AT ALL TIMES | 4 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times. County quiet hours are 10 PM - 8 AM. Strict enforcement of occupancy during quiet hours.

County Rules
As part of the Vacation Home Rental Permit for this home, the county asks that we share the important rules and regulations with you. We appreciate your cooperation in following the guidelines listed below, also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.

Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.

Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 10pm-8am, seven days a week. Per the County: No sound may be audible from the property line during quiet hours. Amplified sound (such as speakers) shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time. Outdoor hot tubs cannot be used during quite hours.

Lights Out: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors at night during the hours of 10pm and 7am, seven days a week.

Red Flag Warnings: Due to high risk of wildfire in our area, bonfires, charcoal barbecues, and wood-burning fire pits are always prohibited. On designated Red Flag Warning Days—when fire danger is especially severe due to dry conditions and high winds—all outdoor fires are prohibited, including gas grills and gas fire pits. These restrictions come directly from the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and must be followed for everyone’s safety. It is each guest’s responsibility to stay informed about Red Flag Warnings. They are announced on local news, radio, and social media, and you’ll also see signs posted at fire stations throughout the area.

Winter Driving: Many highways, access roads, and driveways in the Tahoe area can become icy during the winter. For your safety, it’s essential that between November 1st and April 30th your vehicle is winter-ready. Make sure brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater, and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires should be properly inflated with excellent tread, and you should always carry tire chains—even if you have an AWD/4WD vehicle. Double-check that your chains fit your tires and are in good working order. On many state highways and county roads, four-wheel drive and snow tires are required for safe travel.
Please be prepared for winter conditions: dress appropriately, stay in bounds at ski resorts and if you get lost, remain in place.

Garbage & Bears: Please do not feed the bears. Black bears are very common in this area and, over time, many have become used to human food and trash. Because they no longer have a natural fear of people, you may see them during your spring, summer, or fall stay. Feeding bears is illegal, and leaving food outside, trash unsecured, or doors and windows unlocked can lead to serious property damage to both homes and vehicles. To help prevent this, all waste must be placed in bear-proof bins or dumpsters and the latches secured. Placer County sorts recycling from the waste for you at our materials recovery facilities.

The TTVR office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.

Excellent
We love this cabin. We’ve been coming here for the past 20 years. It is a warm homey cabin with lots of bedrooms, kitchen is very well stocked with all dishes and pots and pans and utensils. Our favorite part is the huge deck with plenty of chairs and 2 large tables for out door dinning and games with the family.

Cozy and very nice home
This property is located in the woods not too far and not close to all the commercial stuff. I liked it more peace and quiet. The home was a good size for our party of nine and had the basic essentials available. The Deck was very nice and of very good size. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone.

Cozy Cabin in a Nice Location
Nice little cabin in the woods, peaceful except for the occasional bear strolling by. Rustic and clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and a large deck outside the back door. The 3 bedrooms were large; the bunkroom was small containing laundry equipment and only comfortable for kids. We'd happily stay here again! The managers were especially friendly and helpful, efficient and easily reached.

Lovely Stay
House could use a couple upgrades such as a fire pit on the back deck, padio tables replacement, etc. But the house is great! Location is better for a group that wants to stay a little farther from South Shore or Truckee and want quiet. Wonderful sounds of nature. Great little country store close by for all you need. House says will sleep 10, and while this is technically correct, would be most comfortable for 7 or less. Would stay here again. Thx

Loved this cozy cabin the woods
We had a lovely stay here! A group of us (with our dog) stayed here for 4 nights, and really felt at home. The kitchen is well stocked, the fire was warm, and the beds were very comfy. Everyone reported they slept well. We all went on different adventures, and it's very convenient to the lake, skiing, snowshoeing and XC. I'd like to add it was VERY clean, which was greatly appreciated.

place was nice
we enjoyed our stay a few things are extremely outdated but didnt really effect our stay . it was clean and nice . not to far from the city and a easy walk to the lake . couches were not really comfy for sitting to long and not enough space for all 6 of us to sit together. being it sleeps 6 more seating would be recommended . but would stay here again . Thanks for the great memories

Lovely vacation despite the smoke
This is our second stay at the house. The new electrified bear fencing worked well and was easy to operate. The back deck is wonderful for seating lots of people. The kitchen is not so good for our family, because we're all cooks and sous chefs and it's just not possible to work in the kitchen with two people let alone more. The beds are comfortable although we are not in need of twin bunks so it would be better to have a larger bed in that room. Everything is so well stocked (paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, cleaning supplies, towels for bathroom) it really makes life easy. We will be back.

Comfort in tahoe
Our trip to Lake Tahoe was to visit my daughter and her family. We were supposed to be a group of 10 but 3 of us could not go. We found the house to be a real home and very comfortable. The kitchen was clean and everything worked perfectly. The bedrooms were clean as was the public areas. There were games in drawers to play and we all enjoyed our time there. The deck off the back of the house had tables and. Hairs and a barbecue. We did not use the barbecue because of the fire dangers but it was available. All of us had a great time and would come back again. Thank you Tahoe Vacation Rentals.

Great
The cabin was perfect for my wife and I to get away for short vacation. We have rented the cabin for over 20 yrs when Tahoma Realty was managing it. It worked well for our family. We always enjoyed the large deck since we like to spend the majority of our time outside. Everything we needed was provided and the cabin was nice and clean. Thanks for the wine and the snacks.

My family and I had so much fun!
My family and I had the best time. My kids and dogs had a blast in the snow. The cabin we stayed in was spacious and cozy. It had everything we needed. It was clean too. When we arrived there were snacks for the family and wine for the adults. It was so thoughtful. I had a question and Debi & Stacy got back to me right away. They were both friendly and professional. We will definitely visit again.

Tahoma Special
The property was a great getaway for us and our pet dog. Check-in/Check-out was seamless and the host is responsive. For those who plan to work remotely, we got good internet service with speeds up-to 180 Mbps. We didn't run into any issues when working from this place during the week. The property is very close to Tahoma Market & Deli which is a great place to get groceries, coffee, bakery, pizza, and sandwiches. Other than that there weren't many places open during our visit in March, we did find a lot of dining options around Tahoe City which isn't very far, 4 Stars - The place is old and although it has space for sleeping 10 people, we found the living, dinning, and kitchen area pretty small for the two of us. When someone walks upstairs the people sleeping downstairs will hear them walk as the floors make a creaking sound.

West Shore Cabin
Great house close to hiking trails which are just a few blocks away. Bring your bikes and bike over to Sugar Pine Point State Park and enjoy the lake. Plenty of light, enjoyed the large deck off the kitchen, and quiet street. Upstairs there is a room with a king bed and a single bed, and another room with two queen beds. Downstairs is a small room with a bunk bed and a room with a queen bed. Great location to enjoy the West Shore.

Clean, well equipped, nice price
This house was clean and well appointed. They had everything stocked and ready to go which was great because the house is a ways from a market. We appreciated the lack of tchotchke decor, they only had what was necessary in the house for a renter and none of the extra decoration that just gets in the way and makes the house dirty. The house has plenty of beds, perfect for a large family or group of friends. BUT, the living room, while clean, is dark and old. I imagined painting the brown paneling white and replacing the brown couches and fireplace stove with something less heavy, bulky and dark. Great house, great stay, great price. Thank you!

Nice house, great neighborhood
The house is quite nice albeit a little dated. Location is great and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. The inside of the house is a bit dark except for the kitchen, but we were mostly out and about all day and spent our evenings at our brother's house so it wasn't an issue. The kitchen is small but extremely functional and well-stocked with great utensils, plates, bowls, and cleaning supplies. Some of the cookware needs to be replaced. The beds were OK. They need to fix the light at the top of the stairs because all day long it's super dark and hard to navigate. We found a Santa Claus nightlight and installed it off to the side of the stairs so we could see, especially at night. The deck was lovely and spacious with lots of nice deck chairs and pads for them were in the close. We didn't use the deck because we were always hiking or going to the beach. We couldn't use the BBQ (charcoal) because of a burn ban... no fires nor charcoal barbecues in the Tahoe area because it was hot and dry. But the BBQ looked like new and briquettes were supplied. The property manager lives nearby and was very helpful and responsive to the things we needed to talk with her about.
